Welcome to the New York State Association for Professional Driving Schools. Our organization works to promote professionalism and consistency within the New York State driving school industry. Our member committees provide feedback to the Department of Motor Vehicles, Department of Education and State Legislature to ensure our voice is heard at all levels and with all partners.
We work with our partners at Park Strategies in Albany to ensure that we are informed about any legislative activities that may impact the association. We receive monthly updates on the following topics:
- Recent Bill introductions and updates on bill they are tracking for the Association.
- All other legislative Activity (amendments, bills moving through committee, voted on floor, legislation sent to Governor, legislation acted on by Governor)

AN ACT to amend the vehicle and traffic law, in relation to driver education
SUMM : Amd §507, V & T L Adds courses at a licensed New York state driving school approved by the commissioner of motor vehicles to the list of driver education providers.
